21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

DAYS OF
PRAYER

Beginning on September 29 and for the following 21 days, as a community connecting through conversations with God, we would like to encourage you individually or in your prayer groups to focus on bringing before the Lord the needs of our nation, our community and more importantly, all believers in Christ.

We are seeking UNIFIED HEARTS through UNIFIED PRAYER.

2 Chronicles 7:14...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Our land needs healing, so we are presenting these petitions as

common ground for the Lord to hear and respond.

21

21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

will culminate on Saturday, October 19th with a Prayer March on Highway 76 from 3:00-5:00 PM and end with a time of worship in a tent on the Strip in the Beyond the Lens parking lot. We hope you will join together first in private prayer, then in marching prayer, and finally in celebration prayer as this community unites hearts through conversations with the Lord.

PRAYER GUIDE

Day 1 - Sept 29

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

PSALM 33:12 ESV

God promises to bless a nation when we make Him Lord. Pray that we as individual believers would submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our own personal lives.  Ask Him to show you what that means for you personally.  What have you allowed to take precedence over making Jesus Lord?

DAY 2 - Sept 30

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

PSALM 33:12 ESV

Pray that our nation would recognize the one, true, living God as we live out our responsibility of making Him Lord of our life.  Ask the Lord to show you how you can dedicate more of your life to Him and be an example to others.

DAY 3 - Oct 1

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

PSALM 33:12 ESV

Does what you say match your actions? Ask the Lord to reveal how you as a believer and the congregation you are part of needs to be more fully committed to living a righteous life.  Have you allowed the world to influence your worship?  Ask the Lord to reveal that to you.

DAY 4 - Oct 2

REPENTANCE

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.

PROVERBS 14:34 NASB

Repentance of sin is deperately needed in our land.               Let’s begin in our own hearts, asking the Lord to reveal hidden sins, obvious sins, ignored sins, “permissible” sins. Ask the Lord to help you discern “right” from “almost right.”  Take time to confess those hidden sins and ask the Lord to give you the courage and determination to get rid of them.

DAY 5 - Oct 3

REPENTANCE

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.

PROVERBS 14:34 NASB

Repentance of sin is deperately needed in our land.                Ask the Lord to enable you to lay down those sins and turn from them.  Continue to ask the Lord to search your heart and cleanse your heart that you might be more fully devoted to Him.

DAY 6 - Oct 4

REPENTANCE

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.

PROVERBS 14:34 NASB

Repentance of sin is deperately needed in our land.                 Ask the Lord to convict you quickly, and enable you to hear His voice and respond quickly.  As you respond quickly, it is easier to give up those sins so that don’t become imbedded in your life.  Ask the Lord to show you those things you have ignored that have caused a wedge between you and Him

DAY 7 - Oct 5

RESISTANCE

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

ISAIAH 59:19-20 KJV

Ask the Lord to show you how to raise the standard against the onslaught of the Enemy in your life.  As you recognize the work of the enemy, you can resist him quicker.  Ask the God of peace to crush Satan under your feet. (Romans 16:20)

DAY 8 - Oct 6

RESISTANCE

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

ISAIAH 59:19-20 KJV

Ask the Lord to reveal, deliver, convict, and defeat the enemies of our community:   drug and alcohol abuse, child trafficking, pornography, spirit of pretense, other known works of the enemy…  You are aware of specific areas in our community that the devil is trying to get a foothold.  Stand against him and help bring down his defeat on behalf of others.

DAY 9 - Oct 7

RESISTANCE

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

ISAIAH 59:19-20 KJV

Pray for wisdom in our vote to resist the Enemy trying to control our nation.  Our nation is at a crossroads. Do your part now in praying for the defeat of the enemy in our United States.  Pray specifically for leaders of our community, state, and nation.  Learn their names and bring them to the Lord for Him to reign victoriously in their lives.

Day 10 - Oct 8

REFLECTION

As water reflects the face, so the heart reflects the person.

PROVERBS 27:19 CSB

Ask the Lord to search your heart and see if you need to do any of the following: • Fast and pray • Help the homeless • Feed the hungry • Be a repairer of what is broken • Participate in restoration • How has God encouraged you from this passage? What action has He told you to take?

DAY 12 - Oct 10

REFLECTION

As water reflects the face, so the heart reflects the person.

PROVERBS 27:19 CSB

DAY 13 - Oct 11

REVELATION

Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

DEUTERONOMY 8:1-2 NIV

Tell the Lord today that you would like for Him to reveal quickly what’s in your heart so your wilderness doesn’t last long.  Responding quickly can sometimes help you avoid the “field trip” that is required for your learning!  Lots of lessons can be learned in the wilderness however.  Reflect on some lessons you have already learned, or some you have perhaps forgotten.  Ask the Lord to remind you of those lessons.

DAY 14 - Oct 12

Are you truly seeking God’s will first in your life? How do you represent that before your friends, family, business associates, congregation or other affinity groups?  How do you reveal the Lord in your life on a daily basis?  Do your friends and family members know how much you love the Lord?  Pray for a great revelation to others.

DAY 15 - Oct 13

Ask the Lord to reveal to you ways you need to more accurately seek Him first. Matthew 6:33 says, “ But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”  Have you let other people or things become first in your life?  Ask the Lord to show you how you need to seek His righteousness first, so He can add to your life all the blessings He has planned for you.

DAY 16 - Oct 14

RENEWAL

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

ISAIAH 40:31 ESV

Commit the following scriptures to heart and devote yourself to standing on truth: 1 Corinthians 16:13, Galatians 5:1, John 17:17, 1 Corinthians 15:58, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Colossians 2:8, Joshua 24:15, and 2 Corinthians 12:9.

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

ISAIAH 40:31 ESV

Ask the Lord to help you recover truth in your life so that you might live a free life. Commit to making truth priority in your life every day. Knowledge of the truth is what sets you free. John 8:32

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

ISAIAH 40:31 ESV

Ask the Lord to reveal truth to you as you interact with others in your daily life. Claim a new boldness to witness of God’s truth. Ask the Lord to give you a discerning heart so you might have His wisdom to recognize truth.

DAY 19 - Oct 17

RESULTS

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

ROMANS 8:28 NIV

Spend time with the Lord today and ask Him to show you how you need to more closely follow His rules He has outlined in His word He has given us.  Have you been “out of bounds” in any area of your life?  Take time to reflect on that so the results will be pleasing to the Lord.

DAY 20 - Oct 18

RESULTS

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

ROMANS 8:28 NIV

Pray about joining together with fellow believers on October 19th as we make a public statement of standing together for righteousness so our nation can be exalted and not disgraced.
